Speech and Language Assessment

Live Out Loud Limited prides itself with providing assessments with the purpose of enhancing the better understanding of a child or young person’s abilities, strengths, interests, talents, gifts and needs. 

A speech and language assessment are undertaken in conjunction with a psycho-educational assessment to provide parents and educators with a more holistic and integrated view of the child or young person’s profile.

Service Description

A speech and language therapy assessment with Live Out Loud Limited includes the following activities:

  • File review and case history
  • Information gathering (parental interview, questionnaires and others)
  • School / home observation
  • Formal / informal assessment of the individual’s speech, language and communication skills
  • Report writing and outcomes discussion with parents/carers
The Live Out Loud Limited Interdisciplinary Team provides parents with an interdisciplinary report after completion of a team consultation where the outcomes of the assessments are shared and discussed with parents/carers. It is also our practice to meet with the child and/or young person to provide them with information on the outcomes of the interdisciplinary assessment.
