Live Out Loud aims to provide a nurturing, neuro-affirmative and empowering space for parents to be, think together and connect with other parents.

We value the unique experiences, strengths and needs of parents and families.  Consultation and collaboration prior to and during the program, workshop or webinar design are important in offering tailormade content.  We design each program and workshop with the specific parent group in mind and facilitate groups to collaboratively find creative solutions for challenges. Our programs are fresh, positive and jargon-free.

The Live Out Loud Program for Parents is Live Out Loud’s signature program, sharing the team’s experience and journey with many parents and families with children with additional needs.

The program is designed with a focus on the life experience and journey of families of children and young people with additional needs. A process is followed in celebrating the strengths of the group of families to nurture growth, independence and resilience within families.

Some of the themes which may be incorporated in program design are; parent-child relationship, neurodivergence, intellectual disability or any other difference, friendships, relationships and sexuality, independence, talking about difference with your child, self-advocacy and others.

The program is offered to a small group of parents with a maximum of 12 and a minimum of 8 participants per course to ensure a sense of safety, comfort, cohesion and provide every attendee with the best opportunity to participate in their unique way.

A nurturing and neuro-affirmative program for parents of autistic and neurodivergent children and young people.

Cothú is grounded in the latest research and evidence-based practices in the field of autism. The program was designed by AUsome Training. The program is autistic-led and adopts a neuro-affirmative approach, valuing and celebrating the strengths and unique perspectives of autistic individuals.  The program is about creating a safe and empowering space for the parents and carers of neurodivergent individuals and tuning in to their unique experiences, needs, and concerns, providing targeted education, training and support that is relevant to their journey.

At its very core, Cothú aims to nurture child and family happiness, wellbeing and mental health, and empower parents to realize that everything is possible and that they are enough and capable to nurture their child and themselves to live authentic lives.  The themes Happy Parent = Happy Child, Quality of Life and Authenticity are embedded in the program content.   The program provides parents with the knowledge, tools and strategies they need to confidently support their autistic children.  Cothú focuses on practical skills and evidence-based approaches, empowering parents to make a meaningful impact and encourages parents to celebrate autistic lives, learn from the autistic viewpoint and to walk a path of love and acceptance.

By attending Cothú, parents are joining a supportive community of parents who understand the journey of raising an autistic child. The program fosters connections, provides networking opportunities, resources and ongoing support.  The program is offered to a small group of parents with a maximum of 12 and a minimum of 8 participants per course to ensure a sense of safety, comfort, cohesion and provide every attendee with the best opportunity to participate in their unique way.
