Live Out Loud’s interdisciplinary team provides relevant, bespoke and tailormade support to families after a diagnostic and/or
identification assessment process. This may include any diagnosis, e.g. Intellectual Disability, Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia or any other.

Parents/Carers and families can avail of the following post-assessment support options:

Option A: Consultation

Session 1: Making sense of your child/young person’s Diagnostic Assessment Report

The team review and analyse the assessment report and any other relevant documentation as provided by parents prior to the session. Parents will have the opportunity to review, clarify and discuss their child’s assessment report and explore the next step(s) with the team. Parents receive a summary document at the end of the session.

Option B: Consultation

4 Sessions: Post-Assessment Support

Session 1:
Parent Wellbeing
Understanding, Processing and Making Sense of the Outcomes of the Diagnostic Assessment

Session 2:
Parent Wellbeing
Making Sense the Diagnostic Assessment Report Family Strengths and Needs

Session 3:
Co-creating a safe home, school and community framework around our child and family.

Session 4:
Exploring the diagnosis or assessment outcome(s) with my child. Designing a family pathway.

Option C:

Cothú AUsome Program for Parents/Carers, Grandparents and Family Encouragers

Older Children and Young People (10 – 25 years) can avail of the following post-assessment support options:

Option A:

Consultation: 1 – 5 Sessions

Session 1: Meet and Greet (Parents and Young Person);
Collaborative Goal Setting
Session 2 – 4: Young Person & Team Member(s)
Session 5: Team, Parents and Young Person

Each option, as described above, will have the flexibility to be tailored to the family and young person as both Live Out Loud and family move together through the process. A quote will be provided after initial consultation and agreement with the family.
